Don't call them if you need their help, they are worthless and most likely won't show up. If they do show up they will put the blame off on someone else so they don't have to do anything. You are far better off policing things yourself than to call the Rochester Police Department.

Don’t get me wrong the Rochester Police are great, professional and helpful. But today the police failed us today, my mom was in a hit and run incident this morning. She was rear ended by a white minivan, causing her to hit a school bus, then the mini van took off. After waiting a while, we called the operator and she said they weren’t sending anyone out anymore. Very disappointed, because of this fact. I don’t know how I feel about this. All said and done at least everyone is safe.nnThanks for your service to protect and serve.

They seem to think that Minnesota is a stop and ID when it's not. And when you challenge them on it they threaten you with violence.

I am sad to see that a person died while in police custody. You don't need 8-10 officers trying to detain one man on the ground.
