Palace Casino Hotel

Closed Forever. I am at the Leech Lake Veterans Memorial Building. The Now Closed Palace is on Veterans' grounds.nPalace was closed. New casino is called Cedar Lakes

The Palace Hotel and Casino seems to be your average Casino with no significant drawbacks.nnThere is a bit of smoking going on, but that is to be expected. From what I was told there is a free pop machine there for the customers which is nice. The slots don't seem to be out-dated and the bingo room is pretty big. The parking lot is pretty large and there is an entire row for handicap parking with I assume would be pretty convenient for people with a disability.nnA new location is being built in Cass Lake and may be done around August.

They have a great variety of machines. The staff are very pleasant. We usually go mid day so it's fairly quiet

I'm giving this place a 3-star because of the bed quality and because of the staff the staff almost made it 4/5 star but this rating isn't specific to the staff. More specifically the front desk gals. There is not a microwave nor a fridge in the room in any room I'm told which makes it pretty inconvenient to stay for over a night. Really other than that it has a pool and security on staff so it doesn't feel safe at least

Made our reservation ahead of time for a jacuzzi suite, and called ahead to ensure that check-in time was at 4. We arrived at 4:30 and were told we could not check in because our room was not clean. They said at least 3 other rooms were ahead of ours to be cleaned so it would be another hour before we could actually get into our room. We ended up having to put all of our stuff back in our car at not get ready for our evening, all because they couldn’t manage to have the rooms cleaned at the posted check-in time. Not ever coming back.
