Best hoagies in all of Michigan. I'm telling you if you haven't been here. You're missing out! The owner of the restaurant is the only one who is allowed to cook the subs to insure the quality. If he isn't there the restaurant is closed. Its worth the drive even if you're not in Ann Arbor right now!

If you haven't been you absolutely need too ! This is the best cheese steak I've had outside of Philadelphia. The woman running the counter is probably one of the most efficient people I've ever seen. The cheese steak was so hot 20 minutes later. Don't hesistate to order carryout. Was my 1st time and certainly not my last. Izzy's is unreal

Food - 5 star. Great steak and cheese sandwichnCounter Lady - 5 star. She handled an entire lobby of people and the phones well.nCook - 2 star. The food was great. However, he clearly can’t handle a lunch rush without getting upset. I simply asked after 20 minutes, how much longer. This guy lost his cool. I was not rude to the counter lady at all. Just asked how much longer. The cook told the counter lady “here take this sub, get this guy out of here”. Was pretty surprised with his attitude. He was not a young guy.nnI would come back cause the food was good. However, the cook (I suspect owner) needs to keep his cool or let someone else handle things.nnEdit...gave them another star for responding and apologizing. Food service is not easy!!!!

Holy hell. This is the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. Been driving by this place for months now as I work nearby, but finally decided to bite for my lunch hour today. I’m eating my hoagie outside of the establishment like a total slob, but I could care less because of how damn good this sandwich is.nnWill be making this a weekly spot for my work lunches from this point forward.

Fantastic is all I can say, I've looked for years for a place that can do what they do. The flavors are definitely there.
