Slow and food was overwhelmingly spicy.
We had a bad experience once for a birthday but I'm gonna update my review because we have been back and they are wonderful. Great service. Plus they fixed the issue that we had years ago. I was incredibly impressed and thankful.
My daughter didn't want to go because she doesn't really like Mexican food supposedly. There is too much of a weight at a place next door. We showed up and they saw they had Blanca queso and chips. My daughter went nuts and love the jalapeno breaded appetizer and her dish which was something with chicken. next time I want Mexican food that's where I want to go back to for sure.
We tipped the waitress cash (30% tip I believe) and marked zero with a line through it on the receipt. Then we find a charge, SHE ADDED A TIP FOR HERSELF! The manager was quick to explain how it happened. I think they are running a tip scam. Don't go there, and if you do pay cash. Untrustworthy.nnUpdate: 7 months and this review was never addressed by On the Border. Either they don't monitor reviews, they don't care, or they know what was going on and don't want to expand on it.
Our waitress was very sweet and professional, brought everything out very quickly! The margaritas were amazing as always and we enjoyed our food. Pleasant experience and atmosphere!
