I booked a cabin to get away. I had been working many hours and needed some rest and relaxation. The cabin was perfect. It was clean, quiet and had everyting I needed. Kristin made the booking process easy and stressfree. Was a much needed break. Will definitely book here another time.nIt was quiet, yet not far from hiking trails. The harbor, great food.

There was an issue with our cabin during our stay and the owner, Kristen, went completely above and beyond to make it right for us. She is an exemplary owner/operator, and was 100% accomodating. I cannot praise her enough.nOn top of that, the cabins are neat, clean, and each one is unique. The setting is absolutely private and so quiet. What a great place to stay!

This place was wonderful as were the owners. Great location. Easy to get to Acadia. Place was clean & well-appointed for a cabin. Beds were comfortable especially after a long day of hiking. Shower was a little wonky but we loved the handmade soap! Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I spent a week in the Octagon cabin in September. Our stay was fantastic. The location is quiet and feels secluded yet is only a few minute walk from downtown Southwest Harbor. Once we got the hang of using the wood burning stove for heating we we're cozy during the cool evenings. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking the simple meals we ate. No microwave, but there is an electric stove/oven and a full sizes refrigerator. Our only complaint is the full sized bed sort of sags towards the center. The location is only a pleasant 20-30 minute drive from the national park Beehive and Sand beach trail heads.

I loved the cabin we had... Jay Cottage is unique and definitely only for people who are ok with glamping.
