901 main st landlord changed around early 2019. Since then, rent increase 30%, no heating in winter at least twice, no 24 hrs hot water happen every month. Service review drop from 5 star to 1 star, more and more mailbox no name on it which means people move out. When I move out, they charge me $175 for not take out a small table which was there when I move in, charge painting, charge repair all kinds of stuff which not related to me. I feel the landlord is not a normal person, after read other reviews, agree that he is a slumlord.

Unfortunately I have not had a good experience here. It takes several attempts to get management or maintenance to respond to our requests. It took months to get rid of the cockroaches that have been in the apartment since move in day. We are living in a mold covered apartment with floors that are falling apart, and the heat was BARELY on all winter. We have tried to address this issues and only got rid of the bugs when they went around a couple months ago and tried to charge us $100 for the removal and blamed us for it. When they finally fixed the leak in our shower, they made it so it’s not working correctly and it takes 20 minutes to make sure it won’t burn our skin. Many tenants are currently dealing with being sick or unemployed because of the current pandemic and Sherwood Properties refuses to budge on rent. We will be without shelter and kicked onto the streets if we are not given some relief because everything is on pause right now and we cannot find a new place to live. The most we got was an email about how to get general assistance. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The Management of 901 main street apartment is not professional, response very slow to your request, be careful, they will have all kinds of excuse to hold your deposit, and charged you a lot of fees when you move out.nn11/10/20ntake a picture or video before move in, document the APT condition, otherwise, they will charge you all kinds of fees when you move outnnThey have not return my deposit that I ask for many times.

Renting from Sherwood Properties was a huge mistake. I have never heard of someone caring so little for their tenants and property. While the apartment itself was not so bad, the rent for what you got was horrendous. Any time my roommate and I tried to reach out to James, we had to email and call multiple times just to get an immature response back. We also had an issue with him giving the property management people to come in and take our things while we were still paying rent there without a notice/our permission, and had to get the cops involved. He will do anything to get a penny out of you. All in all, save yourself your money and sanity and look elsewhere. Slumlord at its finest. If you do decide to go forward with this landlord, I HIGHLY suggest you read the fine print of the contract as it contradicts itself in many ways. Its sad to me that this landlord is able to get away with the things he does.

I have yet to have my stairs or walkway and porch properly cleared of snow or the path to the washer n dryer, yet I get a fee for 100$ for maintenance....ummmm I requested work done on our hot water the shower head that is taped the toilet and the structural support on the porch....these things have gone unaddreased....but yet a fee
