He gave us great advice on how to compete in a multiple offer situation in a crazy hot market (our offer was chosen!), and how to sell our home when we had multiple buyers (we were very happy with the results). Doug went above and beyond with the sale of my house - and getting my house sold was one of the biggest fuster clucks of all time.nLet's begin: I fired the first real estate broker who worked for a different company and she would have fired me soon enough. Doug had my house and we had an offer very quickly (and during off season mind you) - BUT then as we were about to close - disaster struck - the house suffered a MASSIVE third floor frozen pipe break that made Atlantis look like dry powder. I had a 90% loss of my home. I had moved away from Portland and Doug stepped up and was my boots on the ground - helped with the water company / plumber and mitigating the initial damage. Then we had months of demolition / renovation which ulimately went over 1 year. I won't get into my feelings about Nationwide homeowners - but let's just say that they were NOT ON my side - ever.nDoug truly shined and helped with dealing with renovation company, various subcontractors, landscapers, Nationwide Insurance flunkies etc.nI think his own background in home remodelling is worth pointing out here.nIf you're selling your property in the Greater Portland area - Doug is going to earn your trust and work harder than other real estate agent I've known and more importantly - stick with you til it's done ! A normal real estate agent would have dropped me for an easier sale.nDoug is HIGHLY ecommended - would work with him again. Wouldn't work with anyone else.nSOLD !!!
