We took the kids here on Saturday. We all had a nice time looking at all of the old train things. There were a few train cars and an engine that we got to explore. They have a very large model train room, and model train cars displayed everywhere. Then the kids loaded up on things from the small gift shop area. We will for sure visit again sometime.
My family and I learned so much during our visit. The staff were exceedingly friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share their knowledge! I just wish that it wasn't raining that day (PRO TIP: GO ON A SUNNY DAY). We'll definitely be going back.
Awesome museum hidden in the middle of Elkhart. It was bigger than I thought and will easily take you a couple of hours if you read most/all of the stuff inside as well as venture out into the yard and walk up and down the tracks and see everything out there as well.nnIn addition to all of the stuff to see and read, it's cheap to boot. Only $6/adult and $5/kid.
Great museum with history of this line. Awesome electric train exhibit
Love this place! They have a lot to see! Inside museum has a lot of information and items. Outside you can get up inside the engine, caboose and dinning car. Wonderful place!
