Trains come and go. Never an issue with the station. Sometimes the ticket window opens, which is nice for this smaller station, but it's 2018 and you can buy tickets on your phone. Very convenient to NSGL.
Great lakes has a lot of stairs at least has shuttles to the VA and the base..
Very nice train station too bad it's never open what a waste of a beautiful building can't understand what all the traffic to have around there from the Navy base and everything can't even keep the place open
The parking lot is too far away from the station. There is also no crossover platform, so passengers have to walk down the stairs to a spot under a busy and dark overpass and then back up the stairs to cross over. It is not safe with so many people on foot trying to get back to the Naval Base. Other stations have a crossover platform. Let's take care of our Sailors and get this done Metra.
