I had a simple need (replace a shower faucet cartridge that was ancient , stuck really tight, and now stripped) but needed assistance pretty quickly. I tried calling a fair number of places, and they did the job faster and far more affordable than others. Plus, they were friendly and sociable. Will definitely look them up first in the future.
Unfortunately, this businessman is very selective with his work and very expensive. After the first time he came out to my home which was for an emergency pipe repair in the middle of the night, I called him again to come to my home and give me an estimate and explanation for water collecting around the bottom of my toilet. One he was done inspecting and had told us how much he was going to charge, I told him that my husband and I would have to discuss the issue as his estimate was a lot of money and we were not prepared to make that kind of financial commitment at the time. A couple weeks later, my husband and I found ourselves in another emergency situation as our main sewer line had collapsed and was causing sewage water to back up into our bathtub. He answered the phone and responded that he could not help us at that time and was busy working on another project. I found another company, figured out a way to cover my expenses and did not press the issue. We again had other projects that we needed done after that so I reached out to Mike via text several times. He never had the decency to respond. This to me is extremely poor customer service and a man that is too greedy to take care of his customers. Shame. We had over $8000 worth of plumbing work done. Be cautious with this plumber as he does not take care of his customers.
My tenants in Chicago woke up one morning with no hot water, a few months ago, and Mike came to examine the problem within a couple of hours. He was professional, courteous, explanatory and rectified the situation.nA week ago, free of charge, he came to my place in the suburbs and adjusted my backup sump pump. Because of his complimentary service and advice I've been reading, online, about the importance of a primary and secondary sump pump. I will always patronize this business for my plumbing needs & highly recommend that others follow suit.
Mikes Plumbing saved me from my plumbing nightmare!!! My house was scheduled for an inspection in less than 24 hours and we had a terribly clogged bathtub drain and a tub full of gunky water! After two hours of plunging, drain snaking, and more- Mike arrived and solved the problem within 10 minutes (this all took place at 10pm!!). I cannot express my gratitude enough! THANK YOU MIKES PLUMBING!!
I called for a tub that was backed up and water started coming up out of another drain. They arrived later that morning, and quickly and professionally cleared the clog. Reasonable prices and quick response. Wore PPE and were very professional.
