Michael gives these best color/cuts around. Everyone is Utah is lucky to live there. My sister and I fly from CA and AZ just to go to Michael.

Julie did my hair a cut and color. She was great I was coming from down by St George and was running late due to traffic and rowdy kiddos but she was gracious and waited for me until I got there. She had her work cut out for her since I had a bad hair job done several months before had she fixed what needed to be fixed now it pays so nicely. She was quick doing the color and it came out beautifully a fire ombré. Definitely will be driving up there again to get my hair done again! The shop itself is in a super cute old house that was decorated soooo cute. Love the funky couches and the giant mirrors.

I went into M. Hovey and met with Chelsea to have eyelashes done. I asked for hybrid eyelashes which is listed at $81 on their website. She told me there was a seasonal 40% discount so I planned on paying around $45 (before tip) My eyelashes came out beautifully, but my issue occurred when I tried to contact her about excess glue in my hair and on my face and the fact and that I was overcharged. She argued with me from the start and was defensive through the whole conversation. I tried to be reasonable and express that I was just unhappy with the fact that I had glue in my hair and I was overcharged for the service provided. I paid $95 assuming that $15 of that was a tip. She insisted that the original price was $130 and I had gotten a “deal” and left a measly tip on top of that. She later told me she gave me volume instead of hybrid to be “kind” without asking me. That WAS NOT the service I asked for and I should not have to be guilted into paying for a service I did not want. She was completely trying to take advantage of me. I don’t feel the need to be petty enough to post screenshots of the conversation, but I’d like to warn anyone out there that Chelsea is extremely difficult to work with. I’m disappointed with Chelsea’s unprofessional manner and I would not recommend her.

Michael Hovey is intensely careful as he cuts hair. Every cut is masterfully, perfectly done. People come from many surrounding areas to have him do his magic for them. Locals appreciate him also.

Chelsea is the greatest lash artist in salt lake! She's very speedy uses quality products that last. Im so glad I've found her! She's incredible at hair and does great color. Very pleased!
