Everytime i need to buy lumber the staff and manager have always been polite very helpful kind customer service is not lost at this place of business.nI recently purchased a chain saw for husband and they went above and beyond in helpfulness, we needed a bigger chain that was not in stock which they quickly ordered for us, basically we need to support those businesses that still care about how they treat people, as well accommodating the needs of their customers. I want to publicly say thank younmcCoy’s you have customers for life.

I’ve been shopping at McCoy’s since I moved to Montgomery three years ago. They have been nothing but kind and helpful to me and my husband. Plenty of times we have made mistakes on items we’ve needed and they’ve taken them back (with a receipt). There’s only been a few things we couldn’t buy because they just don’t sell it, which is not a big deal. I will always return to their store. Thanks for being awesome

MC COYS IS TEXAS FAMILY OWNED and have a great staff in all its locations. They have all your building needs covered...skip the big box store and come here...support Texas owned businesses.

I used to think McCoy's was really expensive till I started really comparing prices. I now tend to come here and another local store for house and garden supplies. Prices tend to be a little cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes, unless they are having a major sale. Right in the heart of downtown Montgomery, I like how it's close to home; folks working here are local and know your name. I also enjoy that I can get a veteran discount when I show my card to the cashier. Lots of parking as well. Three gripes are 1) takes forever to get items in the back area. Quite a few times I drove to the back and needed to load my own items. I didn't mind, just took a long time for someone to meet with me at the stop sign. 2) Kind of like Home Depot & Lowes, really difficult to find certain items without having them ordered. I tend to go to the hardware place up the road for these. 3) Was asking if they had any destroyed pallets I could have; rep directed me to a pile in the front where I'd need to buy them. If it's destroyed, why would I purchase it? I can garbage pick them all around town for free, and in much better shape. Should rethink this...
