The Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center serves as the official regional historical resource depository for the 10 southeast Texas counties. Is an excellent place to research about the history of Texas/ East Texas. The Center have records, newspapers, maps, documents, artifacts, photographs, manuscripts, and local government records that document the area's history. On the grounds are restored and furnished historic structures that can be visited if booked well in advance. The employees are very knowledgeable and are prompt to help.
Awesome library :)) Haven't had a problem yet. My son loves it. Wish they had more event type things for the children. Once a week book reading for them like where we used to live would be nice.
