Degan Elementary School

I love this school! They are the best! The teachers the office workers and the councilor the nurse the assistant principal and principal are wonderful this is a school that really puts the students first. We are Degan!!

I had an horrible experience with this school and the staff there very unprofessional they do not check your license when u are picking up urban child from the front office they do not follow protocol they are very rude I do not recommend anyone to bring there student there the principal is not professional and does not have her staff in line dealing with them will be hell I'm going to the board with this they will lie on you to protect there staff u maybe a concern parent but there views from there workers is held up higher than yours I do not recommend this School at any point there's a better one down the street that my son will attend next year there very unorganized school

Our children have been going to this school for a few years now and it's gone down hill. If you can avoid taking your kids to this school I would highly recommend it.

Front office ladies ( a few ) are not very friendly at all. Cold atmosphere. I called to pick my kid up 15 min prior and show up and student was not even called up. I have been having parking issues. Seems picking on me and not shutting my door is no big deal. I am not allowed to park in the from t if I have a walker apparently and they want them.walked off their property. I parked where front office is with no problem. One day I decide to park on front street and a teacher followed my kid and held open the door to reprimand me in front of kids. I asked her to please shut my door and she decided to continue reprimanding me. After about 6 times she shut my door. Next day I park in same spot. Lots of other cars parked their as well. Walkers and not. I get a call from vice principle and I asked her if I could park in front of where I was parking in front office area. She said yes, if there were spots. Granted I had been parking there with no problems for weeks. So today I parked there... I also watched to see if people would be parking in the street. Surprisingly, not too many... still she missed an opportunity to talk to a few people. She said she didn't see them. I recorded it and she saw. No matter, I went to put my baby in the back seat to buckle and she comes up to me and says I shouldn't be parking there. I said, but you said I could.. then she apologized and said that's not the area she meant. I said how come people care now but not after two weeks, and what about the missed opportunity to tell the others not to park there.. She said I approached her. I said no, you walked up to my car to speak to me. Ugh.. so high school and stupid. She said walkers need to walk off property through cross walks. Only parents picking up can park on the public side street. I said why pick on me for the two days I was there.. it's public parking until they get a sign or something. No one should be parking there then. So yeah, after coming from Homestead in Carrollton, this school is not matching up to the anti bullying and just plain sence. They had. Never had a single problem.
