This past week, Jackson's grandmother (Dad's mother) passed away. And the funeral was Sunday, and the whole family was there. This is so significant because had this been just 2 months ago, we would have not been able to have Jackson attend because his behaviors were so off the chart bad! But he was an angel! And I'm not just saying this cause I'm so in love with this kid, he was!! He even went around during the family meal before the service and was giving everyone hugs! It was so unbelievable, and so fitting for his grandmother's honored day! Because of his new school, his behaviors are now where we can enjoy our son again and others can see the joy he has for everyone! He's potty trained (Brenda did in 2 weeks what public school couldn't in 5 years)! He interacts appropriately with everyone, it's an absolute miracle what this school has done for our family!! Thank you Brenda and Focus On The Future!! You are our answer to prayer!

This school has been such a blessing to me and my family! The transformation we have seen in my son after being there for just a short time is amazing. After visiting many other schools in the area where I was told that they were not sure if they could help my son, Dr. Batts immediately embraced my son and knew exactly what he needed to flourish. Her expertise and knowledge about autism spectrum disorders cannot be matched and the entire staff is duly trained, as well. Behaviors that would have become major issues for my son at other schools and that would have quickly escalated resulting in a phone call to me are quickly and appropriately dealt with at this school. I like that the school services children with varying degrees of symptoms on the spectrum both verbal and non-verbal. My son has gone from a child previously diagnosed with selective mutism and severe social anxiety to a talkative social butterfly. Where all other educational options failed us, Focus on the Future has exceeded and met all our expectations!
