I really like the JWO transit center. It's has a very simple layout and plenty of places to sit while you are waiting for your preferred method of public transportation. It's also really nice that the place is fairly clean. My only major complaint is how many people disregard the no smoking signs and smoke anyway. I don't have the nerves to tell them off but I wish someone would. Especially when there are small children around. Otherwise this place is great. A great place to catch the bus out of town.

Having Grown up in the area and recently moved away I have to say that this development has some great benefits but also has concerns as well.nnFirst, the facility is a newer facility having just turned 11. I wish there was security to enforce the no smoking policy on the property as well as to keep the facility orderly. I can’t tell you how many times I have been approached for money, cigarettes, my cell phone etc. The best of the facility is the accessibility. Everything is accessible; there is plenty of open space indoors. But no outdoor protection to brave the elements when the transit services who visit this facility are running but the building is closed. Secondly the location of this facility is concerning for individuals who are wheelchair bound or rely on other mobility devices. Since the town doesn’t do a decent job plowing and salting /sanding down to the terminal anyone who uses these aids but can’t afford to pay for a cab to the facility is at risk of serious harm.nnI would love to see a security officer have one of the busses that are used for demand response be able to go to the location and pick up individuals who can’t get to the train or greyhound due to their not being a town bus operating.nnSecondly and I think it is great, the food service facility that is there is run by CSO and the clubhouse members. This is a great way for the members to supplement their grant but I would love to see extended service hours or another vendor on site that can operate in tandem with the clubhouse slot. Pending what is needed to do so I would even be willing to draft up the plans for a second vendor spot. Maybe even have vendor access in a small hut outside of the traditional business hours for the building so individuals waiting can get essentials like warm drinks, food while waiting for a bus or train.nnI’ve also seen parents not control their children on site and need to be told that they’re being bothersome. Otherwise the facility is great.
