We are now entering our 2nd school year at Wetmore. I must say that my daughter has had the best experience. In our first year, Mrs. Perkins (3rd grade teacher) was the best. She kept in communication via email, text, and/or notes. I never felt left out the loop. Not only did my daughter transition from a private school to a public school, she also transitioned from living in the north to living here in Texas...I believe Mrs. Perkins helped make this transition a smooth one. We are so looking forward to what this new year brings. Go Wetmore Rangers!
This is one of the awful schools in San Antonio. If you have a choice, do not send your children to this school. A child threatened to cut my daughter's throat, and this girl was not disciplined at all. Another child inappropriately touched my daughter and nothing was done. My daughter has a doctor's note stating she should not participate in PE, and sometimes they forget and make her participate. When my daughter talks to her teacher, the teacher replies whatever. Children are also asked to put tape on their mouth. Shame on you Wetmore. This school year, I am letting my attorneys deal with any issues that come up. P.S. I prefer Mr. Owens to the present principal. She can never be found on campus when an emergency comes up. Disgusted with this school.
