For the purpose I needed, they did good enough. They did not wow me, but they pressed my pants like I asked them to. The prices were a bit high for the service being provided. The staff was fairly courteous. The drive through is quite nice to have for the added convenience.
Friend applied for a job through Indeed. Directed to walk-in to finalize application process. He would not be acknowledged by the worker inside who clearly saw him and walked to the back of the store. Waved his hand through the glass to get her attention. Apparently, when you apply you need to walk through the employee sliding glass door to be acknowledged. They were not receptive to phone call inquiring about difficulties in applying- this was for Stone Oak location.
Love, love, love this place! Best customer service, excellent cleaning and I would never go any place else!!
YES, STAY AWAY! I brought here my daughter's Bush orchestra dress and they charged me $40. A couple of months after, I took the same dress to another cleaner (Blanco and Huebner) and I paid $14. I don't know if Slater people thought -lets overcharged this immigrant- or if theft is just their regular policy.
Don't waste your time or money and go some place else. The one by HEB on 281 is way better and cheaper. The lady was very unfriendly and borderline rude. That should've been my red flag but since it's close to the house I thought I'd give it a try. She didn't listen or take note of my requests for the dry cleaning. Which resulted in 5 shirts having to be redone due to extra starch, white film on shirts, and one of the white shirts came back with blue stains. They had the white shirt for almost 2 months only to tell me that they could not get the blue stains out. They kept the shirt and said to fill out a claim. 3 weeks went by and the district manger Lucy, never called me back even though I've called multiple locations and left messages. The shirt cost $40, dry cleaning at Slater's cost $36 and today I received a check for $28 with a $10 certificate to use there. What makes you think after this ridiculous hassle that I would ever do business with your company again? I want my full refund or $40 for the cost of the shirt. Had Lucy called me we would've discussed my expectations on how to handle the inconvenience instead of assuming I want a certificate to try your cleaners again. I've never had this bad of an experience with cleaners before.
