Before you hit the historic downtown area of is well worth a 20 minute stay at the visitor center. There are plenty of maps that highlight the historic landmarks of Beaufort, and there are plenty. Make sure you pick up an interpretive map off the area.nnDefinitely spend some time walking the neighborhoods and looking at the historic homes, some of them built in the late 1700s and early 1800s they are exquisite and fantastic.nnThe main syrup has you variety of shops, bistro pubs, art galleries and more.
So much history! A beautiful town.
We were greeted by soldiers of a bye gone time . The lady in the gift shop was very friendly and helpful.
Covid safe. Good tour and lots of info.
