Wilkesboro Police Department

Was told it was required to issue a citation for an accident in a parking lot (unoccupied and parked). So due to local policy I received an citation for failure to reduce speed (I was going 5miles an hour when I bumped into a parked car after backing out). Seems like a racket to get money from people, unlike most States and PD who rarely give citations for an accident (I know this because I'm a retired LEO)..Don't get in an accident in Wilkesboro....

I would like to thank all of the Wilksboro Police Officers for doing what they do and putting on the uniforms everyday to help keep the public safe. I really appreciate what you do. I back the blue 100 percent.

Absolutely UNWILLING to help recover stolen property. The excuse given “they seemed genuine when they said they didn’t have it.” Sorry but my GPS signal determined that was a lie. Just don’t want to do your job.
