Durham Police Department Headquarters

I have always had only positive interactions with Durham Police Officers whenever I’ve needed their help. Very professional, very fair, very respectful, and very helpful. I support them 100%. They do a very tough job and do it exceedingly well. I didn’t even mind getting that speeding ticket 10 years ago!

This Police Department is a joke! Smh, They've been here for about 2 years and I never see anyone in that building, they never answer the front door for the public. There was a shooting a half a block away they did nothing people run the lights at the main intersection, all day long. You have dirt bikes/ four wheelers doing tricks right in their face and they do nothing! It is a waste of taxpayers money!

I chose 1 star because there is no 0 star option. The one time I drive in Durham I have a car accident. My experience with the Durham police department has been the worst situation ever occurred to me. The other driver involved in the accident had no DL on her and it was suspended, nothing to identify herself with, car not registered, no insurance and the police officer lets her walk away with no citation or consequences, and worst of all still blames the accident on me!!!!!! There is SO MUCH wrong with my experience with the DPD that I'm sure I am not safe driving in Durham. I'm sure not all police officers are the same, but there should be better training and officers should be old enough for better judgement.

Handcuffs were comfy, back seat of the chargers were very roomy. He let me pet the dog ud83dudc15 (good boy). He had the temperature at a very comfortable setting the whole ride back to the station. Very polite officers, and won’t get too touchy when searching for stuff. The cells were Remarkably clean and smell of lavender. 5/5 if I had to get arrested again sure would be here. ud83dude02 all jokes aside I have nothing but respect for polic officers ud83dudc6e‍♀ufe0f ud83dudc6e, never had a negative experience with Durham PD. Coolest guys ever. Been pulled over numerous times for very small things I.e tail light out and they were very respectful to me and I was with them. Really thinking about joining the force after my active duty is up. Thank you all for your service in the bull city for keeping me and everyone else in Durham safe.

I was at the Wal-Mart off of Mt. moriah Rd. and in the exit of the food section I had a police officer approach me and falsely accuse me of cursing at an employee and I asked him for his badge number and he didn't even turn back to acknowledge me, I live in Chapel Hill and the police officers talk to us accordingly and ask before accusing I just hope that this doesn't happen again because I cherish and donate to the state troopers as often as possible but this was uncalled for. Blessings through Christ for those that protect and serve us.
