Should educate yourselves on public photography and work on deputies it's up to him interaction skills I also reviewed your policy when asked by a member of the public you are to state your name and ID number in a courteous manner public records are a wonderfully useful tool

Don’t know the department since I just moved to NC, but not the best first impression. I drove to their station for fingerprinting, and stayed at the stop sign as I did not know where to go as the area was confusing to a first timer like myself, a Durham Sheriff car was behind me, Which I thought they would be able to direct me to the fingerprint area. Nope, the car literally illegally passed me on the left, literally accelerating so hard around me their car tires screeched. Pretty rude in my opinion.

We had a break-in in our car, with lots of valuables taken. I called the Sheriff's office and told them I need to have a report started.nnWithin 15 minutes, officer F. Terry arrived .nHe was VERY through in asking all the right questions. Officer Terry could not be considerate and empathetic to our break in.nHe is not only a special officer, but a special human being.nnWe would give him a constellation if we could.nThe Sheriffs Department is fortunate to have him Thanks Feric!!!

Called the Sheriff's Department after an Amazon Delivery truck destroyed my street side mailbox as he/she was riding through the neighborhood. The deliverer did not stop and never came back. Deputy Appel responded soon after I called, and very patiently navigated his way though the logistics department at Amazon headquarters, helping me to file a property damage claim. Immediate response and knowledgeable, professional handling of my service call.

Recently phoned for help regarding animal neglect/abuse. Office answered phone multiple times efficiently and routed an officer immediately even though my phone kept dropping. Officer was helpful, showed real concern for the animal and measured/non negative attitude toward absent owner and focused on health and well being of animal, while informing us of possible next steps the dept and animal control could help with to insure public and animal safety and health. Very pleased with this interaction.
