My wife and I recently stayed down in a hotel in Kill Devil Hills, NC, and when we got home, we realized that we had accidentally left behind very sentimental stuffed panda bear. The hotel staff couldn't find it but gave us the name of their linen service, Whitecap Linen, in case the panda had gotten wrapped up in the sheets.nnI called Whitecap Linen and they picked up immediately and assured me they would make every effort to find our panda bear. They called me the very next day to inform me they had successfully rescued our panda, and they then offered to overnight panda back to our home at no cost!nnI have very rarely received this level of service from a company! They were so quick to respond and keep us informed throughout this whole dilemma. My family and I couldn't be more grateful for their generosity and their commitment to customers. Consistently short upon delivery, or no delivery at all. Unresponsive to emails, phone calls and messages. Poor accounting department claiming past due invoices - on several occasions - when I am a COD customer (By my choosing). At least they are not blatant thieves like Halifax. They are, however, sorry.
I'm giving this a 2 even though it should be a 0. Rented linens from them for the week of July 29-Aug 5. Due to the OBX blackout and mandatory evacuation, we never stepped foot on the island or got to use the linens. They gave me half of what I paid back although it should have been all of my money since I never used the service. I will bring my own linens from now on! Will not use them again.
My linen order has been screwed up, missed, incomplete for weeks now. The rep will tell me on its on the truck and will be here shortly... for two days in a row!! No one answers the 24/7 number. I'm not sure what has happened but these guys used to be good in the past. Checking to see what other options I have on Hatteras Island. Totally unacceptable. I sure wish a manager/owner would call and explain to me why the horrible turn in service! Donna
