Fascinating house occupied by 5 generations of Coffins (ancestors of ours). Different eras represented in each area, from late 1600's to mid 1800's. Original furniture, wallpaper, etc. The house was modified repeatedly and our guide (who was also distantly related to us) was a fountain of knowledge.nOnly open 2 weekends a month during tourist season, but private tours (like ours) can be arranged for a $100 fee, or you can join for $65 dollars and the tour is free. The Society owns multiple properties throughout New England.

Great educational programs for kids. Genuine period house from the 1600s. I took a summer camp here years and years ago.

Excellent historic home. Several eras of development, design, and architecture are represented in this one house. The docent, Reggie, was enthusiastic and actively engaged in genealogical research on the Coffin family. This is a must see Historic New England property.
