Treated unfairly and not respected at all as a citizen this place is disorganized and cannot be taking seriously. Worst Police Department in St . louis

Very disappointed with this police department. Asked to speak to a captain or sergeant or even a supervisor they said they dont have one on staff or in the building at the moment to accept a freedom of information request. Was curious how gas stations are using our tax paid servants as personal security guards in the clock paid for with citizen taxes. Will be filing more request with the prosecuting attorneys office and the st louis county police department for the whereabouts and uses of our tax paid officers. Would suggest this department be taken over by st louis county as all officers we have encountered have authority issues and refuse basic request by citizens

They always respond very quickly, are great with the neighborhood children very proactive, hard working men and women on the force. Good job to all of them! Thanks for keeping us safe and keeping yourselves safe in the process!!

I have been on both sides of Hazelwood police department. Once I was protesting a business, things got a bit heated, I had to firmly assert my rights, and they were respected in the end. Overall this department is one of the best I have had to deal with. Even when I had to stand firm, they were fair. I have been stopped by them many times, mostly as a younger man. I can say I was never unfairly treated, and even when they were not happy with my activities-they were respectful and explained the situation in a manner that was clear and non-threatening. If only all police departments were this good-our country would be not only safer, but a better place to live. I am very pleased with Hazelwood Police Department from the rookie patrolman to the watch commanders and the Chief. I understand that police work can be grueling and at times unrewarding, hats off to your department. As a Hazelwood resident, I couldnt ask for more. A+
