Police do the opposite of making me feel safe in my hometown. The other day i was on a jog on a path behind my house and i was approached by a police officer with his gun drawn and pointed at me. I was alone, jogging with my headphones in not possibly being of any danger or disruptance but the Mount Airy Police Department believes that that is a scenario worthy of pointing a gun at an unarmed 18 year old boy for no reason besides to ask “what I’m doing” when it could not have possibly looked like i was doing anything besides jogging.

The whole team is corrupt and grossly negligent! From Officer Brooks, to Sergeant all the way to Colonel Douglas W. Reitz from falsifying police reports, not taking evidence, and not even interested in the facts as Robert Hill Bates, Jr. attacked me as I walked in the dining room and abusing both me and his wife for life. Call the state police instead at least they are honest!!

Police always on the streets patrolling..just moved here..but prolbem with the parking. Love it here!..also interested in getting on the council..keep up the good work!
