Nice park for the family! My wife and I enjoyed going for a walk on the path and getting to have a little adult conversation while still being close enough to the kids to watch them laugh and play! We will definitely be back to enjoy the park again!
A very nice park surrounds this restored covered bridge in Frederick County. Nice views of the bridge from all directions, plenty of part, and low traffic volume. Visited in January and there was a little bit of ice in the creek, adding to the visuals. We'll worth the visit if you're in the area.
Super jungle jim playground. Lovely rural setting, covered bridge and creek. Minutes to downtown Thurmont.
Terrific. The 3 covered bridges tour, well worth seeing. Each place has plenty of safe, clean parking. Even a little, well kept play area for kids. Exceptionally well kept and clean restrooms. Picnic tables as well. Great outting. Respectfully
This beautiful covered bridge is located at Loys station park, Thurmont. MD. A few years back., someone actually lit a car on fire inside this bridge. Causing extensive damage to the interior, however, thankfully not damaging its structural integrity. The entire road was closed for a very long time. Fundraising ensued to restore the bridge and it has since been beautifully restored back almost to its natural state.
