Frederick County Animal Control

We got two amazing cats in October 2020. They were estimated to be two years old and were surrendered by another owner. They go in the litterbox, they eat their food, they like to be pet, and they are good mousers! Very happy with the cats and the help from the staff in selecting them virtually

I have adopted twice from Frederick County Animal Shelter . The employees were very nice and respectful each time! Next time ( And I'm sure there will be) I plan to use them again!

They are super genuine and take great care of your animals.

This place may do well for animals that are unwanted. But as a loving pet owner. I have had the worst experience trying to get my puppy back that just chewed through his leash. An one of my neighbors just took him there without a Knock on my door just a note stating he had him. I go in to get my little man back an the lady at the front desk was so rude. Acted like I shouldn’t have this dog because of an accident. As they could see the dog was well loved, healthy, no neglect shown on this dog. He had not been in for an hour an made my boyfriend an I pay over a hundred dollars to get our dog back. When we had plans to get him what he needed at the vet for less then what they made us pay to get him back. For that staff that has pets they should be ashamed of themselves for doing that to people that actually love there animals. So for anyone in the future that may find anyone’s dog. Your better off keeping it until someone is able to claim he or she. Because that was unnecessary what I had to go through to get my dog back.
