Understaffed. The cashier was very nice and give him 5 stars to be so pleasant working as the only cashier to take orders. Line was way out the door waited in line about an hour. They did not have any other cafes or snack shops available or open which is not okay when the admission price is what it is . Bring own food snacks here.
Okay, maybe if we weren't in pandemic days, I'd give 5 ud83dudcab instead of 4...but...the zoo has only a couple of food/drink places open right now, which means social distancing is IMPOSSIBLE when it's hot outside and EVERYONE is crowded into these couple of areas to buy drinks and snacks. The lines were long and crowded with maskless people. As for the food, everything we tried was good (not great, but not terrible either). Our party (4 adults, two kids, and an infant) ordered chicken nuggets (tasted just like McDonald's) and chili-cheese fries, burgers (nothing really good or bad to mention), yogurt (a Yoplait cup), and drinks (Pepsi products, tea, beer, and lemonade). The $8 lemonade (32 oz) was honestly the best thing about the $75 we spent. We weren't expecting fine dining, and I suppose the food just met our expectations. The line, however, was awful, and tables were hard to come by. Next time, I think we will bring a cooler and picnic it. ud83dude0e
Chick San was not good. The lady who served us hates her job
We got drink's & I'm happy to see that they are environmentally friendly with metal water bottles & trying to save our oceans from pollution from the deadly plastic bottles .
I was thankful there was food at the zoo. However it's super chaotic when ordering food. My family ordered a few entrees and split them up. The chicken tenders and fries were good when they were hot. The pizza was not good in my opinion. The bacon cheeseburger was so-so.nThe prices were reasonable. We could have had better food somewheres else though.nThey do have a few healthier options such as some salad and a Turkey and swiss wrap. They also had a Turkey or ham sandwich.nIf we ever go back we will plan on bringing our own sandwiches or eating before or after. I gave 3 stars because despite the chaos my family got to eat when they were hungry.
