I was pulled over for doing 59 in a 55 lol! I was told by the police J. Ragas that it is illegal to drive in the left lane of a highway and stated it was a state law that the left lane is only used for emergency vehicles which I have never heard of in my life. As well as being harassed by him saying, “I could ruin your trip right now.” BUT HOW??? he had no reason to lock me up and he stated that he could give me a ticket that I would have to come all the way back to Louisiana to go to court for BUT HOW?? i was going 4 miles over the speed limit, I can easily pay online. He was very aggressive and argumentive and as a young black, professional woman with 3 other young black professional women with me, I feared for my life, this man was clearly racist and had no respect for me and was fishing for a reason to take things further. I will never come back to this town to spend money EVER. And I will be posting my video of the incident. People in positions like this should set their personal bias and racist aside and treat everyone the same and with respect.
