It may be part of Georgia Southern University, but this museum dedicated to the natural history of the state certainly isn’t a dusty or boring place to spend a few hours.nnInstead, its halls are packed full of family-friendly interactive exhibits. However, it’s the 78-million-year-old eight-metre skeleton of a Mosasaur, sometimes called the T-Rex of the Sea, which will probably hold your attention the longest.nnThe 42-million-year-old Vogtle whale fossil, North America’s oldest, runs it a close second. The museum also houses the complete skeleton of a Bryde’s whale, and various treasures from the deep such as sawfish bills and sharks’ teeth.

LOVE this place. They always have cool and fun things to look at. I especially love it when they have their interactive science exhibit. The big dinosaur that you can crawl up into it’s ribs is really cool as well. They have really cool and interesting activities for the kids that come in. They usually change the exhibits in the back and on the left side every so often and it’s always something really interesting. LOVE it!!

My daughter had a blast at the museum this week. She wouldn't stop telling me about the dinosaur exhibit. I personally did not know Georgia Southern had so many fun things to do. If you have not allready checked it out then you should go by and check it out for yourself. It's kid approved.
