Salvador Dali Museum. Wow !!! Do not kid yourself for one second. This is a true world class museum filled to the bone of some of the best paintings in the world, thats right I said it. It is very easy to dismiss, not a well-known city for the Arts but it just so happens the family that actually owns the paintings are or were retired here in Saint Pete, and they made a deal with the city to build this museum. If you live here please don’t take it for granted go for free in the summer , they have that one free weekend for residents and bring the kids. Salvador Dali is perhaps one of the greats in the art world, a true Genius, in every respect. Personally I’m more of a Michelangelo/Rembrandt kind of guy but I do appreciate Salvador’s view of the world. I promise you one thing if any , go there with an open mind, grab a beer in the lobby get in a tour and they will describe the paintings as they go and YOU will be amazed. I will post one of my favorites. It takes up a whole wall in the museum and is truly a master piece. Go and have a good time we always do. Cheers

Excellent experience all around. From the moment you step foot into the museum to the time you walk out. It is worth every penny, I highly recommend taking the time to visit this museum, it is not very large but you could spend a good two to three hours if you appreciate Salvador Dali's work. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help provide the best experience.

Immediately I will say the earlier you get there the less crowded it will be. A friend and I went one hour after opening and it was almost completely empty.nThe staff members are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic about their work.nAnd the artwork? IMMACULATE. Definitely a must-see for any art enthusiast. The labyrinth in the garden was closed during our visit, hopefully next time they will be open and I will see what exactly is back there.

Amazing place. Just beautiful and eye opening. Need to get some creative juices going? Come spend an hour here to get over that writers block, or whatever is holding you up in life. Very inspirational. And the people that work here are very professional while being some of the friendliest museum staff you have ever met. Five stars all of the way.

What an amazing experience for any general art/art history fan. Seeing the paintings in person could make you cry. The staff members are very informative if you have a question to better understand a certain painting. Of course, you are free to browse at your leisure unassisted as well. There is a cafe and gift shop available for those interested. There's a nice garden area out back for you to enjoy your drink, snack, and perhaps the book you just purchased.
