A must see!!!! Yes they are under construction but they advertise that, I think it's nice to let people in during the process they are under. The entrance price also reflected the fact that they are under construction, it was FREE. They had an amazing gift shop and take wonderful care of the turtles at their hospital, you can watch them from the window. Their staff is wonderful and educate you along the way!!! While we were there we learned about all the turtles there and about how they got there. If your in the area I highly recommend stopping in, the beach is right there also!
Love your mission! Never seen a sea turtle before here and holy cow. They are huge. Been to a couple releases and my daughter even adopted a turtle. This place does great things and we love it there.
We paid for the $10 tour and got so much detailed information about the turtles, and all of the efforts and research being done by the center. We also got a little closer to the turtles. Our tour guide was wonderful, and it was just me, my partner and one other person in our tour group. Definitely worth the $10.nnWe noticed they had a nice activity area for kids, they have a nice nature trail next to the facility, and they do have restrooms on site.nnPart of the facility is sort of weather dependent, so if there is thunder/lightening they might not be fully open. Although this might just be temporary due to their current construction.
Came here for a fund-raiser. It was night and people were dancing. Just lovely. All the tanks lite up. Then a few weeks later, my son and I brought his babies here to see the turtles. They thought it was super cool. And they loved the gift section. Had a hard time not buying everything :)
Great place to take kids! They will learn a lot about sea turtles and sea life in general. Getting to see these turtles up close is an experience I will never forget. The aquarium and exhibits inside the building are second to none. Pay the extra money and see the turtles up close it's worth it.
