When you are on a packed morning commuter train and the main engine fails, Riverworks is a wonderful stop to be stuck at. Employees only, so everyone is forced to snuggle up and sweat together, listening to other panicked passengers call into work or reschedule appointments. Thankfully, you have a full cell signal. Although the industrial buildings look like a 1950's apocalyptic movie set, they apparently do some pretty cool stuff here at Riverworks. In the hour this train had been stuck here, I have developed a real curiosity about Riverworks. Like, I wonder if they have a cafe that sells coffee? Nice bathrooms? Can uber find this place? I may never know, since we are not allowed off the train. Very exciting.
