Awesome service for citrus county fl history ,
A must-visit for Elvis fanatics! But honestly, there's rich history in this old courthouse showing how this region came alive, how they flourished ... and how they drove out the native tribes. University of Florida hosts one room with rotating exhibits.
Very interesting place with a court room, but there is an old hanging tree in the front of the building with the rope still on it. It is every offensive that they also decorate this tree for holidays, showing that we're proud of it. At least put a plack on the tree?
Very interesting for a small museum. Covered a broad range of the history of Citrus County, Florida
Nice historical building. Great little museum. Much different than it was back in the late eighties when it was still our county court house. Great place to stop and see all the history here.
