We visited Melborne for my friends 50th birthday celebration. We decided to drop in to their open house tour and we're so happy we did. Ann and all of the volunteers and helpers were so very well educated about the history of notnonly the house but of the town as well. This house definitely needs to be preserved. These volunteers who don't know us went out of their way to make sure my friends got a little cake but a happy birthday hat and everything while they sang happy birthday to her with our tea and most delicious lime and lavender cookies! Thank you so much for making our day wonderful! The fifty and fabulous squad!!!
An excellent piece of Melbourne history. The volunteers are very warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the home and history. My wife and I are going to be returning and are also looking into volunteering to help with this wonderful cause.
This is such a heart warming walk back in history. I desperately hope that the place can be saved. It has a wonderful atmosphere about it and it's a local historical treasure. Bravo to those brave souls raising the necessary funds to purchase the property and restore the house to it's prior (1901) glory!
