During the almost 4 decades I've lived, worked or played in Herndon, I've had occasion to call on our police department for assistance or been with friends when they were stopped for traffic violations. These officers have always demonstrated professionalism, compassion and regard for service to and safety in our community. And, because the town of Herndon is relatively small in comparison to the county, response times are very quick.

I've had very positive experience with the Herndon police department over the past decade. I've always felt that they've exemplified good clean law enforcement work and built trust within the community. Recently Officer Ruffin of the Herndon police department has in my opinion not quite embodied the standard for an police officer of the Herndon police department. This is slightly disappointing and I do hope the behavior is corrected. Trust in law enforcement is increasingly more and more paramount in today's society. Keep up the good work.

I live in ca, I have a friend that lives in Herndon and I hadnt heard from him in a while. I asked the police to do a welfare check and they were amazing. I found out he is in the hospital and can now act on that information.nnThank You!!

Herndon police department is over funded as the continue to harass the citizens of herndon. I have lived here for years and I don't know what has happened but they have parking enforcement patrolling culdisacs and ticketing residents. Please stop this harrassing behavior and go protest and serve.
