Locust Grove Primary School

This school is amazing!!!! Teachers truly care about their kids and work so hard to help each student succeed. All staff members are well trained and do a fabulous job working with the kids. Everyone seems to know everyone......meaning it is a lot like a family. From the principal, to teachers who aren't even your child's homeroom teacher, knows and remembers your child's name. I have a friend who recently moved into a different county and school, and she has said that the things that are being taught have already been taught to her son previously at LGPS. Your child will receive a well-rounded education and be treated with kindness and respect. I couldn't have prayed for a better school for my boys than LGPS.

I have a seven-year-old autistic son, and the staff and faculty have been outstanding in helping him become more verbal and finding his strengths. He's in second grade right now, so this will be his last year (LGPS is K-2; LGES next door handles Head Start for 2-4 year-olds and third to fifth grade), but his little sister is in kindergarten now, so we have two more years being part of what feels like a single room schoolhouse for ~400 students.
