Nice nature experience as long as you stay on Fauquier side of river. Man owns other side and patrols along in his cart, making sure no one touches his dirt and rocks. It's his property and not anyone else's, so respect that or else hear his wrath. There are signs all over the other side indicating not to trespass... so much so that it takes away a little from the natural beauty. I'm sure there are a few hooligans that have made it so it is all necessary. But it seems like the guy is just that type of disgruntled.
Beautiful park with trails along the Rappahannock river and through woodlands and by the edge of an old farm field. Ancient farm equipment sits rusting near an old hay field.nBucolic on a day like today getting out into nature.
Fauquier finally has river access. Thank you to the amazing family that donated the property. Great place to put in or enjoy some nice views with family. There are paved handicap spaces and nicely laid out trails. To top it off its free on the weekends!
Beautiful hiking trail along the rappahannock.
