If you need something quick and don’t have time to drive to Home Depot, give it a try. But plan on paying through the nose. Depending on what you want, Coast Hardware can be as much as 2x what you pay at Home Depot. Their selection is OK. Service is OK. I prefer ACE Hardware when they’re open. But hey, they’re closer to home so I shop there in a pinch.

I went for a mailbox. I found one that would work. The clerk was pleasant & helpful. It was a good experience. But I have always been pleased with that store through multiple owners & brands.

Went in and asked for help finding a replacement part for a faucet. Was told go check aisle 9. There are literally hundreds of them. At least Home Depot will try to help. These guys would rather stand at the counter. There is a reason big box stores are so successful. Selection AND service. Coast Hardware has neither.
