Beautiful scenery and people, eagle point was a great hike, fishing seems to be the thing to do even from the bank.
Early year is the better time to go. Starts to smell later after the water level drops
If you have a boat, then here is a launch. It appears that the water pump was not working because of vandalism so bring your own. The water in this part of the lake (September) was murky and there was a prevalence of non-biting insects, spiders and lots of birds too. We drove down the very very bumpy dirt road to the end of the peninsula to get to the primitive campgrounds. It was a beautiful spot, in spite of the overflowing garbage cans and run down outhouses, watch out for the yellow jackets. The location is beautiful and unique but it could use a little less vandalism and more TLC.
