Congratulations to these folks. 5 minutes off of Int. 90. We only went here by accident as we were driving out of this wonderful town at the headwaters of the Missouri.nDO NOT MISS THIS PLACE.nIt is an amazing collection of the picture of life in a Montana ranch town. Different rooms with different themes---STUFFED into an old bank building--with collections (over 700 types of labeled barbed wire!!!) . Country school memorabilia. WOW. Just WOW. Spend at least an hour.
Donation based admission. Plan on 1 hour. 2 stories. Small footprint, but packed. Cabin in backyard.
Displays were arranged well with interesting notes attached. I think I spoke with the curator, she was very knowledgeable about the origins and history of the town.
A great museum. The volunteers there and very knowledgeable of the area.
Incredible couple volunteering tonight. Just trying evenings 2 nights a week and hoping people will stop. We were walking by and noticed the open sign. Very knowledgeable! You need to take time to go. I especially loved the upstairs that had little shops set up like stepping back in time.
