It was great, prepare for a steep grade up though. I am older and felt it, even though I hikeud83dude0a. Jameson, works while going to school, he is a great young man and your guide. ( Make sure to throw him a tip. He walks that up and down every hour.) It was worth the stop . We visited the Craters of the moon and the ice caves and Shine Falls , all ina dayand still got 250 mls in on the bike. Great excursion. Highly recommend the Caves.

Pretty cool little place... could have done without the guided tour but it was pretty informational... freaking cold so take a jacket!

A great family adventure! Be sure to have long pants and sleeves, caves are continuously between 20-30 degrees year round. It's a guided tour that starts at the beginning of every hour. My lil one did great, even with auditory sensory, and our cousin with back issues managed to make it through the tour without issue as well. New path from what we went on in the early 90s but was a great family experience to share with our kids ud83dude0a

Great tour, with lots of history, cool stories and Science! The teenage tour guide was very knowledgeable and talked plenty loud for all to hear and the entrance fee wasn't bad.nHowever, .................... it was soooooooooooo hot! By the time we got into the cave I was soaked! I never even felt cold in the 30° cave I was so hot. I was wearing shorts, a tank, hat, and flip flops too!!! The whole tour was about 45 min with about a million minutes of that outside in the scorching heat and about 20 min in the cave. I mean it was really interesting and super cool to learn about, but honestly the heat ruined it for us. Maybe they could put up some shade sails which are pretty cheap and some misters while visitors walk along the path to and from the cave because it was pretty unbearable. You'll just have to weigh if learning about the history and geology of the cave is worth maximum levels of discomfort. I'm not sure I would go again knowing what I know now. Still gave 5 stars since weather isn't in their control (duh) and I really don't believe in giving less than 5 stars because we're all just doing our best.

Great place to go! The coldness is a welcomed relief to the desert heat. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I think our tour guides name was Hannah? And she was great with the group, especially with the kiddos asking a bunch of questions. They have a cool gift shop as well. They recommend bringing a light jacket, because of the coldness in the cave, but I welcomed it since it was so hot outside! Definitely recommend stopping here, great place to take the family.
