Amazing service and comfort! Everyone from the desk clerk to the breakfast staff was so friendly. Breakfast staff handled food using Covid-19 precautions in every step. Our room had a small balcony with a great view of the Pocatello area. Fitness center was large with several pieces of equipment. We've stayed in many area hotels and have settled on this as our go-to place to stay.
I have probably stayed in over 100 different HI Expresses over the last 15 years. I generally love them. I love the breakfasts too. The only thing i didnt like here was the lighting in my room. It seemed dark, with no lights where they were most needed, for example, right inside the door when you first walk in. Still a nice spot. Could be a little less to stay here too.
Stayed here for a night with my mother during my trip moving north. The staff was superb and even offered to let us bring my black lab in because it was still hitting freezing temps. The price was pretty good, the room was awesome, and the breakfast was worth getting out of bed for.
Stayed for a weekend and the hotel scored a 4.5 out of 5 for me.nPositives: Great staff, super clean hotel, room was clean and everything worked well. Bed was comfy but I'm used to memory foam mattress and have a bad shoulder so I was up a few times during the night. Also, the complimentary hot breakfast was awesome and all for a fantastic price.nNegatives: Couldn't use the hot tub because small kids were always in it. Tried several times, including early in the morning and even 10pm at night...small kids in the hot tub. If hotel would fix this then I would say definitely 5 out of 5. Otherwise, great stay and would definitely return there.
IHG does well with the upgrade game and this location delivered. Booked a standard room but they put this platinum member in a top floor king with a balcony. Room was sparkly and new. Breakfast was far beyond the usual for an HI Express and deserves kudos. I grabbed two Chobani yogurts and passed on the breakfast sandwiches because of my plans for the morning but they did look good.nWill stay here again if in the area.
