This is a place that I have been visiting and working on my entire adult life. I started visiting here around 1991 and while living in California I would visit 2-5 times a year. I stopped visiting as often in 2004 when I moved to Washington. I have been back twice since in 2010 and 2018 and am sad not to be there more often (275 miles away vs 1100 miles away now). I would like to see more volunteers visit and fix things. As of my visit in late summer 2018 the roads were badly degraded and so were the trails. The cabins were in relatively good shape though things have been moved around. Anyone that decides to visit this unique place should be prepared for a steep hike and in the summer a hot one. All I ask is that you respect the history of the place and don't destroy stuff. It is a fantastic place to go! On the 2018 trip I put a virtual 360 tour of the camp in google maps.
