Impressively friendly and helpful staff. Calm quiet environment small community wonderful atmosphere just walking distance of town. The room was clean and fresh. I'd Rocomend Tonopah motel for short and long stays to anyone anytime. Make sure you talk to Lady Sue!
The rooms are clean, bug free, and affordable for the area. Susan who runs the hotel is both knolageable of the local area, and a pleasent conversationalist. The structure may look run down from the exterior but once inside it has a warm home feeling. Im a resident here as i become familiar with the location. The staff is both polite and understanding. At 1/3 the price of the major chains. It is worth looking at..
Not as bad as I thought it would be. Comfy beds
Don't. Just don't.nnI've been in roach motels before, but never one this cliche.nYes, it smelled bad, was dirty, carpet torn, and burns in the blankets. But this went way beyond that.nnI had to wear shoes in the bathroom. The vinyl tiles in the bathroom were all unglued and mold could be seen underneath.nDespite being hot and sweaty, neither my son or I wanted to risk the shower.nThere was a used condom (of course) behind the dresser where I dropped my comb.nWhen I tried to turn the bedside light on, it came off in my hand. Which was fine, as there no bulb in it.nThe sheets and towels were once white, but we're now grey. We slept with our clothes on.nnBut the biggest part (and initial warning I ignored) was when the proprietress ensured us we'd be safe, because if anyone came onto the property who shouldn't be there, she would get them with her shotgun.nnJust don't.
Disgusting. Nice people but the room was horrific.
