This park is always a delight, without fail. I recommend it to everyone with kids. They have a really great play area so make sure you plan at least 30 min for that alone. The animals change from time to time and there will be empty enclosures- remember this is a place that takes in native animals that can't live in the wild for one reason or another; it isn't like a city zoo that plans transitions into it's enclosures years in advance. They really do have a lot of animals for the kind of park they are. And, unlike the zoo, you WILL actually see most of the animals- they won't all be hidden in the back or anything like that. Some of the animals consistently walk up for attention. Don't skip out on seeing the birds- one of the ravens will mimic sounds you make if he's in the mood to talk.

We had such a fantastic time here and it is so nice to support such a great cause! It's cheaper than the zoo, much more intimate than the zoo, and all the animals are indigenous animals that were all rescued. Some were orphaned in the wild when their mom was killed, some were injured in the wild and would've otherwise died, some got too comfortable with humans and would've otherwise been euthanized, and some were illegal pets. All are amazing, though.

Really interesting place. Well cared for animals and friendly staff. Plan on about 1.5 to 2 hours to stroll comfortably through the entire place. Bring a hat and water as the path has almost no shade.

Wonderful local zoo. We loved learning about the animals and reading about their stories. It was amazing to get so close to the animals! What a great way to spend a birthday ud83cudf82
