Their service to my community is amazing,making Magdalena,nm a safe place to be,a good rural small town,please drive safe through it,stop in at the cafe,restaurants,coffee shop,or art galleries featuring local artists,rock shops,real cool southwest jewelry,get gas,repairs and supplies,stay overnight at the neat motels on US rte 60,yes you can slow down,life is short enough as it is.And speaking of stars,plenty of them with the dark night sky.Never go faster than your gardian angel can fly.Thank you for keeping the peace.

This police department apparently has nothing better to do than make money off being a speed trap. The speed limit drops to 30mph and the cops sit there right at the 30mph sign and stop you immediately. They approach you all geared up like jack-booted thugs and demand that you admit then and there that you broke the speed limit. Avoid this dumpy little dying town at all cost.

why wont the the magdalena police department answer their phone!?

was cited traveling thru magdalena for speeding. received a citation that i tried to pay many times. citation was not submitted until over a month later. now i have a warrant and was arrested, impounded vehicle and missed work because someone couldnt do their job correctly. thank you magdalena.
