Such a worthwhile stop! We've never been in this area, but I knew there must be lots of interesting history. The kind lady volunteer told me about places to visit and stories about this great town.
Bob is such a wonderful docent - he showed us all around and gave us a FASCINATING tour of the museum! They have a great selection of local history and some very cool rotating displays. This is definitely worth seeing!
Great museum at a reasonable price. And the docent gave an oral history that was alone worth coming in!

The Salida Museum is chock full of history from local characters, railroads, businesses, events and more. We enjoyed learning about Salida and the museum from its director Susan Jesuroga. Plan a couple of hours to view and read all of the memorabilia.
