One of the many beautiful landmarks that Southwest Kansas has to offer. The Conestoga trail breaks off of the Santa Fe trail and ends at Point of Rocks. Many windmills in the area still stand but are mostly out of service. Much like the windmills several natural gas wells are in the area but are no longer functional. At the trail head there's an outhouse and access to fresh water via the old hand pump. Whether you're hiking trail riding by horseback or just driving through in the pickup this is a must see landmark when traveling through the old west.
Great historical marker would make a great stop when driving by a neat land mark
